Things to Do

Food & Drinks

Earlier

Lazy Day Cafe – Strip mall diner delicious enough we go most weekends. Surprisingly charming. Lots of vegan options.

Ruth's Diner – Eat in a train! Cool location in Emigration Canyon, biscuits served as you're seated.

Central 9th Market – Faster option in trendy neighborhood: think focaccia eggy sandwiches.

Hruska's Kolaches – Little dough buns, savory or sweet. Get it "Texas Style" for a big surprise!

Park Cafe – SLC staple. Put your name in then walk around Liberty park. Diner fair.

La Barba – Excellent coffee and exceptional breakfast tacos.

Tulie Bakery – Quick coffee, A+ French pastries, and our wedding cake.

Later

Cotton Bottom Inn – Where the right and left come together to share a garlic cheeseburger. Best fries.

Albertos – Fast mexican, guilty habit.

Red Iguana – Mexican known for their (vegan) mole.

Copper Onion – Very good American/Italian in the heart of "downtown," something for everyone. A favorite.

Nomad East – rotating Neapolitan pizzas, nice salads.

Bricks Corner – Motor city pizza and a sneaky good burger.

Urban Hill – For those looking to feel sophisticated. Scrumptious.

Koyote – The best restaurant in SLC: run, don't walk. Japanese / ramen. Great vegan options.

Much Later

Bar X – great cocktails, unpretentious, cozy atmosphere.

Fisher Brewing – mellow yet lively local brewery with nice indoor/outdoor space.

Water Witch – cocktails, young pretty people, tinder dates.

Hikes

You're in the Wasatch, you basically can't miss. Four zones that may be interesting are Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC – where you are staying), Big Cottonwood Canyon (BCC), Millcreek Canyon, and Park City. Download the AllTrails app for live trail navigation and more.

Albion Basin (LCC) – Tromp around one of Alta's most beautiful zones.

Twin Lakes Pass / Mt. Wolverine (LCC) – Head out from Alta for nice views down into Brighton and BCC.

Red Pine / White Pine (LCC) – Popular area, good shade, many routes to choose from.

Pfeifferhorn (LCC) – For anyone really looking to get after it.

Dog Lake (BCC) – Woodsy, chill.

Broad's Fork or Lake Blanche (BCC) – Big terrain. Lake Blanche is probably the more popular option.

Gobbler's Knob (Millcreek) – Funny name so hike it?

Short Stack (PC) – Great, mellow tail. Abundant shade, east facing.

Rob's Trail (PC) – Great zone, ask us for specifics on how to make this one excellent.
